Tim MurariCEO - Director of Marketing and Planning

With a background in advertising and public relations; Tim has specialised in training and management projects in the service sector, including tourism and hospitality. He also has substantial experience at both management and strategic levels, working with independent and government funded higher education colleges and organisations.
Tim has been an examiner and syllabus writer for a number of centres and professional bodies; but now dedicates his energies as CEO and Director of Marketing of OTHM.
With a strong academic background and training experience in tourism, marketing and hospitality management; Tim holds a Masters in Strategic Marketing, a PGCE, a member’s Diploma of The Chartered Institute of Marketing and the CAM Foundation.

Lakhi Liyanage
Chairman - Director of Finance

With over thirty-five years experience in finance and industry in the UK; Lakhi has held positions of Finance Director, Managing Director and Chairman of both public and private sector companies. After a very successful career as an entrepreneur; in the last few years he has focused on education and is Principal of Surrey Business College and a visiting lecturer in a number of colleges.
Lakhi is also managing director of a financial consultancy company and senior partner of an accountancy firm. He also brings to OTHM, extensive experience of senior management and financial skills gained over a number of years.
Ken Elson
Registrar - Director of Education

Ken has over 25 years experience in industry and commerce. He has held senior operations roles in the pharmaceutical industry and finance and project management roles in the civil aviation industry. Over the last 5 years Ken has been involved in teaching and training at universities and higher education colleges, teaching strategy and financial strategy at postgraduate level. He also teaches project management on post graduate Chartered Institute of Purchasing courses and strategy on ACCA courses.
Ken holds an MBA from Henley Management College.

Marketing, Promotions & IT Manager
Tom Adams joins OTHM after successfully completing a four year degree, BSc Hons, in Computing and Media Technology.
He was a member of an Events support team for three years whilst a student and was involved in prestigious events such as Wimbledon Tennis Championships and The British Open golf tournament. Tom's role included the co-ordination and deployment of equipment and personnel on site.
His responsibilities at OTHM include: Key Account Management, Student Registrations, ID Cards and co-ordination and distribution of OTHM Today.

Examinations Officer
Originally a science graduate, she switched to a career in Food & Beverage Management, working in the restaurant and exhibition sector, both in the UK and overseas. Tsvetelina has also achieved an Advanced Diploma in Marketing Communications.
Qualifications and Education Officer
Patrick joined the OTHM team in April 2010; with over 20 years teaching experience, including principal lecturer at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in FE/HE.
His experience includes curriculum design & development, project management and course delivery in a wide range of management programmes, including vocational management qualifications.He holds an MA, a B.Ed(Hons), a Cert ED, and a FHEA qualification.
With a high commitment to achieve the best quality standards in learning, teaching and assessment; Patrick will further strengthen the OTHM team to develop and promote the delivery of innovative learning experiences that truly engage students in the process of constructing their own knowledge.
Curriculum and Qualifications Manager
Stephen joins the OTHM team in his present role as Curriculum and Qualifications Manager, having previously worked closely with the organisation on a variety of projects.
He has over 12 years’ experience as an educator: previous roles in the public sector include Head of Department and Learning Resources Manager; previous roles in the private sector include Director of Studies, Marketing Director and Principal. He spent several years in Asia, working as an EFL and IELTS-preparation tutor for schools and private students in Bangkok and Tokyo, and he has student recruitment experience from across the Asian Subcontinent, Mauritius, Thailand, Japan and China.
He holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Sheffield, a PGCE from Goldsmiths College and a Cambridge/RSA CELTA from International House.
In addition to his curriculum duties at OTHM, he acts as Curriculum Manager and Systems Consultant to a selection of private training centres.

OTHM International Consultant

Dr.Thava is a consultant, specialising in Education Management; with a wide range of industry experience in banking, commerce, travel and Further and Higher Education.
As one of the OTHM International Consultants, he also maintains a visiting lectureship for a Russian university and an International Faculty position for a US university.
We believe that Dr.Thava’s breadth of experience adds strength to the OTHM team.
Dr.Thava holds an MPhil, MBA and DMS in addition to an honorary doctorate.
